What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a transparent orthodontic device in the form of silicone trays, so-called aligners. It is not only a comfortable alternative to traditional braces, but a real innovation in strengthening teeth and improving the appearance of the smile.
With 3D imaging technology, each patient receives their teeth straightening treatment plan and visualization from the initial appearance of teeth to the desired one. A mold serves as a model to create a set of individual aligners, which are adapted to the shape of the dentition and gradually move the teeth to their ultimate position.
What do Invisalign aligners look like?
The Invisalign orthodontic device consists of a pair of aligner trays for the upper and lower dental arches. They are made of thermoplastic silicone and their shape and number is always adjusted to the individual needs of the patient.
Invisalign aligners have a nice, discreet look, they are much more comfortable compared to traditional orthodontic devices and almost completely invisible. It’s easy to keep them clean, and you can easily remove them while you eat, brush your teeth, and even, once in a while, for special occasions or celebrations.
How does Invisalign® work?
Invisalign aligners correct the position of the teeth by applying controlled pressure on individual teeth for an appropriate amount of time, which causes their progressive and gentle movement. Day after day, inch by inch.
Every other week, a set of aligners is replaced with a new, slightly modified one. This process is repeated cyclically and continues until the teeth are in their right position.
