Diagnostics
Our imaging diagnostics lab is fully equipped with state-of-the-art apparatuses. We offer a full range of radiological examinations and imaging of the oral cavity. All examinations are carried out in-office by our qualified staff, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Computed tomography
A computer tomography or a CT scan is performed to obtain a three-dimensional image of bone structures, which allows the evaluation of the jaws and alveolar recesses of the patient’s maxillary sinuses. It is completely pain-free and non-invasive. It takes only a few minutes and the result is available almost immediately.
A computed tomography examination produces cross-sections of the upper and lower jaw in all three planes and their 3D visualizations. This allows the doctor to analyse the course of important anatomical structures, such as nerves and blood vessels, when planning implant treatment or controlled bone regeneration.
We also perform micro-CT scans, i.e. high-resolution X-rays of individual teeth, which are extremely useful in complicated endodontic treatments (i.e. root canal treatment).
Our radiology lab is equipped with the latest GXDP-700S 3D CBCT unit manufactured by the American company Gendex. Thanks to its special construction, the tomograph performs top-quality three-dimensional images, while maximally reducing the radiation dose.
Panoramic X-rays
Taking digital panoramic X-rays (the so-called panoramas) is a primary diagnostic examination in dental treatment. The use of a digital sensor instead of analog film guarantees a significant reduction in radiation dose. X-rays in children are performed with even lower radiation dose, which makes the examination totally safe. At the same time, the quality of images received is significantly higher from those obtained using standard equipment. We get the results immediately and the patient receives them either in print or on a CD.
Periapical X-rays
Periapical X-rays of individual teeth are used in conservative treatment (cavity filling), as well as in endodontic and surgical procedures. We use Expert DC Periapical X-ray unit along with GXS-700 RVG system by Gendex. The system makes it possible to capture high quality and high resolution digital periapical images of teeth with maximally reduced radiation dose.
Digital intraoral shots
In order to obtain the best possible aesthetic effects of treatment that meet our patients’ expectations, we routinely use additional photographic documentation. Intraoral images of teeth are used to design aesthetic prosthetic restorations and enable thorough check-ups of teeth and gums also after the completion of treatment.
